dc.description.abstractCompound [Pt6(μ-PtBu2)4(CO)Fc2] is prepared in good yields by the CuI-catalyzed coupling of two equivalents of ethynylferrocene with the hexanuclear cluster [Pt6(μ-PtBu2)4(CO)4Cl2]. Electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical data show the presence of photoelectrochemically triggered electron transfer from the {Pt6} core to the peripheral ferrocenyl subunits.en_US
