PAH are known to be important xenobiotic pollutants. The study of their oxidation reaction insimple systems, such as the hemoprotein-H2O2, may permit the development of new methodsof biodegradation. An understanding of the reaction mechanisms involved can lead to modelsfor synthesis of new catalyzers.
